Quote of the Day

"You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it." - Adrian Rogers, 1931

Pass it all - let the voters sort it out.

I am so tired of all the socialist America hating legislation that is being pushed by the far-left leaning congress that I give up - PASS IT ALL, we the voters will sort it out. Currently we have Cap and Trade which will cost 2.5 million jobs a year and it will not control any carbon emissions or change the perceived climate change. Health Care reform which will cost 5 million jobs if passed and if similar models are correct won't reform health care, it will only make it harder to get health care and if you are too old or have an "unhealthy" lifestyle, you may be refused life saving health care all together. Barney "Brothel" Frank wants to pass legislation that will limit executive pay for those on wall street, he thinks that incentive-based pay is not good for the economy. All this is from the congress that has the lowest approval rating in history and still gave themselves a raise this year.

Ask your rep about the 700 million dollars for Wild Horse birth control. or the 3.4 million for a turtle tunnel or 30 million for rats in San Francisco, and the 80 million that ended up being given to art houses in San Francisco to show Gay Horror Porn and "Pervert Dance Reviews" I am sure there are better things to spend our tax-dollars on than that.

Yep - I think the demorats should pass all the bad - America hating legislation that they can think of - We the voters will have the final say on election day. Every member of the house of representin' and a third of the senate are up for our votes in November 2010, we should make them aware of the fact that WE get to make the final decision on their policies and WE will make certain that all these communist loving - America Hating congressmen are back in the private sector in January 2011.

*** side note ***
most of the legislation won't take effect until after 2011 session starts and we should make sure we elect those that will be in a majority and able to repeal these atrocities.

Happy Friday!

The Mainstream Media - Joke of the Day

A Harley biker is riding by the zoo in Washington, DC when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion's cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the cuff of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents.

The biker jumps off his Harley, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch.

Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the biker brings her to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly. A reporter has watched the whole event.

The reporter addressing the Harley rider says, 'Sir, this was the most gallant and brave thing I've seen a man do in my whole life.'

The Harley rider replies, 'Why, it was nothing, really, the lion was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger and acted as I felt right.'

The reporter says, 'Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I'm a journalist, you know, and tomorrow's paper will have this story on the front page... So, what do you do for a living and what political affiliation do you have?'

The biker replies, 'I'm a U.S. Marine and a Republican.' The journalist leaves..

The following morning the biker buys the paper to see if it indeed brings news of his actions, and reads, on the front page:

U.S. MARINE ASSAULTS AFRICAN IMMIGRANT AND STEALS HIS LUNCH

That pretty much sums up the liberal news media's approach to the news these days.

$700 Million in Welfare for Horses!!!

Unemployment tops 10 percent in 15 states in June

By JEANNINE AVERSA (AP) – 7 hours ago

WASHINGTON — Unemployment topped 10 percent in 15 states and the District of Columbia last month, according to federal data released Friday. The rate in Michigan surpassed 15 percent, the first time any state hit that mark since 1984.

The Federal Reserve this week projected that the national unemployment rate, currently at a 26-year high of 9.5 percent, will pass 10 percent by the end of the year. Most Fed policymakers said it could take "five or six years" for the economy and the labor market to get back on a path of long-term health. To get there, consumers must return to a regular spending groove and housing prices need to start rising again.

Home to the nation's struggling auto makers, Michigan has been clobbered by lost factory jobs. Its jobless rate of 15.2 percent in June was the highest in the country.

Still, the U.S. Labor Department said it's the first time in 25 years that any state has suffered an unemployment rate of at least 15 percent. In 1984, it was West Virginia.

The state unemployment report underscores the damage that the longest recession since World War II has inflicted on companies, workers and communities.

The other 14 states where unemployment topped 10 percent last month were: Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina and Tennessee.

In May, the jobless rate topped 10 percent in 13 states and the District of Columbia. Alabama and Georgia joined the list in June.

While Michigan's rate was the highest in the country in June, the record-high for the state was 16.9 percent in November 1982.

Should We Pay for More Abortions? - Take Action Now!!!

How would you feel about the possibility of having your taxes raised to help the government pay for abortions?

Well that might just be a reality by the end of August, which is why I need you to act now to stop the biggest attempt to force taxpayer funded abortion on-demand on the American people.

Please write your Senators today and tell them to respect your consciences and explicitly prohibit taxpayer funded abortion as part of health care reform.

If we do not act today, the lives of thousands of unborn boys and girls will fall prey to abortion courtesy of our pro-abortion Congress and President...using your very own hard-earned tax dollars.

It is a proven fact that taxpayer-funded abortion only serves to increase abortions. Even the other side admits this, saying abortions could increase by 25% among those eligible for government health care, if taxpayers were forced to pay for abortions.

Please write the Senate today and tell them to save lives by banning taxpayer funding for abortions in health care reform.

It is quite clear that abortion is NOT health care, yet the other side continues to argue it is.

President Obama has clearly stated that he supports taxpayer-funded abortions as part of his health care reform. In his speech to the Planned Parenthood Action Fund in July of 2008, President Obama said that in his mind "reproductive care is essential care, basic care, so it is at the center, the heart of the [health care] plan that I propose." When asked for clarification later, an Obama spokesman said that “reproductive care included abortion."

In the current House health care reform bill, Nancy Pelosi and her pro-abortion friends have left the door open for Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and her unelected pro-abortion bureaucrats to define abortion as part of “reproductive care,” just as Hillary Clinton has already done at the State Department. We cannot allow pro-abortion forces to write abortion into national health care coverage.

Click here to tell your Senators to explicitly ban taxpayer-funding of abortion as part of health care reform. Tell them you don't want your tax dollars to pay for abortions!

And make sure you forward this e-mail to all your friends and family. We need to make sure every voice is heard in this fight.

Thank you for all you do in the fight to protect unborn boys and girls.
