New Preamble

I received this 3 times in e-mail today... so it must be blog worthy. Thanks to Kimball (his is the one I copied)

NEW PREAMBLE TO THE CONSTITUTION

The following has been attributed to State Representative Mitchell Kaye from Georgia . This guy should run for President one day...

"We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, and other liberal bed-wetters. We hold these truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights."

ARTICLE I: You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV, or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.

ARTICLE II: You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone -- not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc.; but the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.

ARTICLE III: You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful; do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.

ARTICLE IV: You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes .

ARTICLE V: You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in public health care.

ARTICLE VI: You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair..

ARTICLE VII: You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.

ARTICLE VIII: You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful. (AMEN!)

ARTICLE IX: You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness, which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.

ARTICLE X: This is an English speaking country. We don't care where you are from, English is our language. Learn it or go back to wherever you came from! (Lastly....)

ARTICLE XI: You do not have the right to change our country's history or heritage. This country was founded on the belief in one true God. And yet, you are given the freedom to believe in any religion, any faith, or no faith at all; with no fear of persecution The phrase IN GOD WE TRUST is part of our heritage and history, and if you are uncomfortable with it, TOUGH!

Rush is Right!!!

"Rush is right. If President Obama thinks we should sit back while our Republic becomes a socialist waste land, then I hope he fails as well. 1 trillion dollars for lining the crony pockets and nothing for the taxpayers but more debt and pretty much ZERO stimulus is absolutely ludicrous. What happened to "By the people, For the people? "

Just makes me mad

Yesterday we "celebrated" a historic event. The inauguration of the most unknown man in the history of this great country. We only saw a copy of A birth certificate, just a copy, not the original. We never saw what his college transcripts said, he said that he went to Harvard, he was the editor of the Harvard Law Review, but he never published any work? or is that hidden too? His records from the Illinois senate are sealed or lost or hidden. And let's never forget the assocations all those great guys, let's take a walk through the rouges gallery;

Past associations:

Rev Wright - America Hater and hate monger
Tony Rezco - In Jail for fraud and other crimes
Father Flagher - see rev wright
Rod Blagoavich - Tried to sell Dear Leaders senate seat
Bernadine Dorn - Domestic Terrorist
Bill Ayers - Domestic Terrorist

His Cabinet:
Tim Geitner will be running the Treasury which includes the IRS only problem, he is a tax evader and employed illegal aliens.
Hillary Clinton as Sec of State, she is the one responsible to negotiate on behalf of the USA with foreign governments, he hubby has received almost a half a billion dollars in donations from the same people. Conflict of interest -party of two?
Eric Holder he is so awesome that while serving under Clinton he negotiated the pardons of such upstanding citizens as Mark Rich (business dealings with Iran during a little hostage situation over there) and a group of domestic terrorists for whom the evidence was so weak that they too were pardoned. never mind the video tape of them making the bombs that were used for domestic terrorism.
Rahm Emmanuel He is a partisan hack in the worst possible terms, he is the muscle in the operation, the enforcer in the mafia family that is Chicago politics.

And his supporting cast - the ones that want to spend 875 billion more of the hard earned tax dollars for the Christmas list of the left; Princess Nazi Pelosi and Dark Prince Dingy Harry Reid. They are also the ones that are limiting the democratic process in congress. three cheers for communism....

The Spending Plan is Out

Posted by: Amanda Carpenter at 11:48 AM

I just got a copy of the $825 billion spending plan outlined by the Democratic-controlled House Appropriations Committee.

It is frightening.

Take a looksee here if you don't believe me.

The highlights of this bill, allegedly crafted to save us from the Wall Street crisis but is obviously being used to fund every hail Mary liberal, entitlement cause under the sun, includes:

(Note, anything I put it quotes is because A. it comes directly from the memo and B. it's so vague and/or ridiculous I don't know what it actually means. And, no this is NOT the full list. This is a PORTION. )

-$6 billion to weatherize "modest income homes."
-$6 billion to provide internet in "underserved" areas
-$6 billion for "higher education modernization."
-$20 billion in health information technology to "prevent medial mistakes."
-$20 billion to increase food stamp funding
-$87 billion to provide a "temporary" increase in Medicaid funding
-$300 million to provide rebates for people who purchase Energy Star products
-$600 million for the federal government to buy brand new energy efficient cars
-$400 million for state and local governments to buy brand new energy efficient cars
-$2.4 billion for carbon capture demonstration programs
-$350 million to research using energy efficient technology on military bases
-$300 million for grants and loans to state and local governments for projects that reduce diesel emissions, "benefiting public health and reducing global warming"
-$500 million for energy efficient manufacturing demonstration projects.
-$400 million to build major research facilities "that perform cutting edge science"
-$1.5 billion for expanding "good jobs in biomedical research"
-$400 million "to put more scientists to work doing climate change research"
-$600 million for satellite development and acquisitions, including climate sensors and climate modeling.
-$250 million "to address long-term economic distress in urban industrial cores and rural areas distributed based on need and ability to create jobs and attract private investment."
-$650 million to continue the coupon program to enable American households to convert from analog television transmission to digital transmission.
-$300 million for the National Wildlife Refuges and National Fish Hatcheries
-$50 million for the National Endowment for the Arts
-$400 million for "ready-to-go habitat restoration projects"
-$2 billion to provide child care services for an additional 300,000 children in low-income families while their parents go to work.
-$120 million to provide subsidized community service jobs to an additional 24,000 low-income older Americans
-$1.5 billion to help local communities build and rehabilitate low-income housing using green technologies.
-$500 million to rehabilitate and improve energy efficiency at some of the over 42,000 housing units maintained by Native American housing programs
-$10 million for "rural, high-need areas to undertake projects using sustainable and energy-efficient building and rehabilitation practices"

Can someone please tell me where in the constitution ramant spending on frivolous crap is listed? just wondering.

SO now you too know why I have been cranky for the last couple of days and may very well be until the commies are voted into retirement.

History 101

History 101 (Crash course)

For those that don't know about history ... Here is a condensed version:

Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic
hunters/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and
would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter.

The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and
the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer. These
were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for
the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:

1. Liberals, and
2. Conservatives.

Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of
agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so
while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they
just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed.

Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to B-B-Q at night while
they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as the
Conservative movement.

Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off the
conservatives by showing up for the nightly B-B-Q's and doing the sewing,
fetching, and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal movement.

Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. The rest became known
as girlie-men. Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of
cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of Democratic
voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided.

Over the years conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most
powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by the
jackass.

Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white
wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their beef well done.
Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare. Another interesting
evolutionary side note: most of their women have higher testosterone levels than
their men. Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers
in Hollywood and group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated
hitter rule because it wasn't fair to make the pitcher also bat.

Conservatives drink domestic beer, mostly Miller. They eat red meat and still
provide for their women. Conservatives are big-game hunters, rodeo cowboys,
lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers,
corporate executives, athletes, members of the military, airline pilots and
generally anyone who works productively. Conservatives who own companies hire
other conservatives who want to work for a living.

Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and
decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more
enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe
when conservatives were coming to America . They crept in after the Wild West
was tamed and created a business of trying to get more for nothing.

Here ends today's lesson in world history

thanks Rex... This made me laugh

Thoughts and Observations

Let me preface this post with saying that I have no prejudices against any race, creed, color, religion or financial status. I have known and worked with many of the aforementioned groups and they all have good and bad just like us middle class white guys do.

That being said, I have several topics to cover and I plan on being pretty blunt and in my opinion honest in what I have been pondering for the better part of a year at different times.

1. The unemployment numbers came out today for December, the USA is up to 7.2% without jobs and more that are either under-employed or in temporary positions. So that got my mind thinking (as painful as that is) There are approx 12-20 million illegal aliens here, using 10 million as the number of illegals seeking employment here in the USA that is around 3.3% of the 300 million adults. so if 7.2% is unemployed and we take back our jobs from the 3.3% that are here illegally our unemployment rates drops to an acceptable 3.9%, no one was complaining when unemployment was 3.9%.

2. The congress is getting amped up and wants to spend another trillion dollars of tax payers money for "Economic Stimulus" This is such a bad idea on the face of it, but if you look deeper it just gets worse and worse. Government spending does not prosperity make. It is a short term bandaid that will need a bigger bandaid in the long term. The answer is for the congress to stop! Stop spending my money, your money, and our great grandkids money. The congress gave the banks 350 Billion dollars in September in a hurry up to avert disaster bill. The problem, the banks still aren't loosening up credit which was what they were supposed to do, no one knows were the money went, except the 15 billion that went to the Big Three, which was another hurry up and pass this bill to avert disaster, although the senate put the breaks on it, and the executive branch went and wrote the check anyway.
Congress needs to stop spending money, stop bailing people out, stop "fixing" the economy, they are slowing down the recovery and actually doing more long term harm to it.

3. I have never been given a job by someone that made less money than me. So why does the Dear Leader elect think that he can fix anything from the bottom up? It doesn't work that way, it can't and it won't this time. Dear Leader elect thinks that government is the answer to everything, I personally agree with Reagan who was of the opinion that government is the problem.

4. If we want to encourage people to work, we should stop making their lives so easy. Their is a whole segment of the population that have made a career for generations of living on the backs of the rest of us. I have a plan that I have shared with anyone that would listen for the past 15 years. It is easy, if you are not working and would like food, someone from your household needs to get a job, earn a paycheck, and pay your own bills. If you are not trained to do anything, I will give you a FREE (they all like that word) seminar on picking things, things like cotton, tomatoes, peaches, apples, and litter. These are all things that seem to need a lot of picking, this will also give your noses and rears a break. I am not cold-hearted (mostly) there are those among us that are physically, mentally or both unable to work, I understand and that is a very small percentage and they should be taken care of.

5. Several months ago I proposed "ChefTom's Tax Plan" if you missed it, here are the basics.
No more capital gains taxes
15% Corporate taxes
15% flat income taxes
No more tax return, on the the 15th of April every year you will have to send a "Tax Declaration" along with your W-2s or 1099 or whatever pay summary you receive. On the back of the declaration there are categories for spending buckets, with the exception of a set percentage for national defense we will each decide how their hard earned dollars are spent. This will allow the taxpayers final say, if a majority of the American people are opposed to publicly funded abortions, then Planned Parenthood will have to find private funding or go away. Same goes for any other programs that we have no control or say over. I have a whole list of programs that the federal government is paying for that we no longer need or should have never paid for.

So to summarize if you would make me the supreme commander over all the land and give the elected doofi (plural for doofus) 4 years off, in four years I will gladly step down and the country will be a much better and easier place to live.

Today in History

On January 2, 1933, the 5th Marine Regiment, United States Marines Corps, withdrew from Nicaragua. It trained and left behind a powerful National Guard in a country beset by struggle between liberal and conservative forces centered respectively in the cities of León and Granada.

Founded by the Spanish in the early 1550s, the two cities became competing poles of power. Their militant rivalry often left Nicaragua subject to outside interests even after the country gained independence from Spain in the early 1800s.

British and U.S. interests in Nicaragua grew during the mid-1800s because of its strategic importance as a transit route across the Central American isthmus. With the advent of the California gold rush, Nicaragua proved a popular interoceanic shortcut. Cornelius Vanderbilt's steamship company transported supplies and prospectors from the Atlantic, along Nicaragua's San Juan River, then across Lake Nicaragua to the Pacific.

John M. Letts wrote of his 1849 travels through Nicaragua:

…arrived at Lake Leon. The appearance of this lake as it opened to our view was peculiarly striking. It is shut in by lofty mountains, which tower up in innumerable peaks of volcanic origin…the smoke curls gracefully out, commingling with the clouds…
We passed along down to Mat[e]ares, a small town situated on an eminence overlooking the lake, and inhabited by descendants of the African race. We breakfasted on chickens, frijoles, tortillos[sic], eggs…and after an hour's detention started for Managua. We passed through a delightful region of country, the soil, in many places, highly cultivated, bearing the impress of thrift and industry, I had not before seen in the country. Fruits grow in abundance, cattle had an unlimited range, and were the finest I ever saw; the country was broken, the mountains towering up to the clouds, and some covered with perpetual snow; but at their base were vales watered by mountain rivulets, and shaded by groves of orange and fig, seeming a retreat fit for the angels.
