The Cutting Board contains thoughts, opinions and information as seen through the eyes of a middle-aged conservative from the south-west United States, who is less often politically correct and more often right! (hey I told you it is MY opinions) If you are offended by anything said here, you found the way in and should find your way out.

when's your surgery? Sorry to hear you'll be going under the knife. Let me know the date...
You're the second person this weekend - sorry! Stay away from fried foods!
I will find out today, what and when. Urgent care was too much fun Saturday night. The DR said that mine was the first time he could actually see the calcification on a standard x-ray. I take that as a not good thing. Luckily the surgery is out-patient and pretty non-invasive in nature now days.
This calls for a party! A 'Farewell Gall bladder' Party! I'm glad this seems to be a fairly disposable organ... May the surgeon have a steady hand and may you be up and about in no time! No pictures of that thing, by the way and please.
Good Luck!
Hope all goes well with your gall bladder surgery. Technology is great these days--no large incisions. My David has what we call the "Mayo Clinic" gall bladder scar--done by a former Mayo surgeon at Lahey Clinic. It is at least 12 inches long--that was in the mid 80's. Good luck, Tom.
